I find that a PTAF signal is much more sensitive than thermocouples/thermistors for hypopnea scoring. A decent snoring signal can also be very useful for hypopnea/RERA (Respiratory effort related arousal--new term for UARS). I would also agree with looking for realtive change vs. baseline signal rather than looking for a specific reduction (30% or any % for that matter).
