Posted by Refresher on November 07, 2002 at 10:22:22:I need a refresher here. I have two scenerios and need some opinions on how to handle it.
1) Say you have a patient at CPAP of 13cmH2O.
For one reason or another, you deem it necessary to start BiPAP. How would you make the move from CPAP to IPAP, with what settings?2)Patient is having sleep onset centrals like crazy. Do you try to adjust CPAP/BiPAP during those short intervals of sleep between arousals, or do you try to wait until patient sustains sleep??
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
