Posted by snoozin' on November 11, 2002 at 10:21:24:I would like to get some input on how other labs out there handle combative/aggresive patients. Do you have specific procedure/protocol for this type of situation?
Do you have different levels of tolerance/warnings (ie using strong language to aggresive behavior) before the patient is asked to leave or is escorted out by security/police?
Any input/comments would be of great help because I am writing our lab's Emergency Procedure and would like to have this situation covered.
