Most sleep references would suggest dropping the EPAP to whatever level of CPAP eliminated apneas.
(see, for example, Berry's Sleep Pearls)
For the sleep onset centrals, these are a common occurance with some patients, especially and perhaps only in the supine position. If the patient is already using CPAP, it may help to increase the level, mostly to get past the arousals and into stage 2.
