You must have lots of time on your hands! I think a good sleep technologist will question the physician when an order is inappropriate. We need to be spending our time in better ways (i.e. educating the patients more, collecting artifact free studies, etc...) Many years ago when I was doing respiratory therapy full-time, we were expecting to question any order that didn't make sense. In fact, we could get written up if we didn't.
