I was working with an RRT RPSGT one time who asked me: "What is this single little wire for on this thermistor?" The tech was pointing to the oral element on a ProTech Adult Nasal/Oral thermistor.
Let's not expect that simply because someone holds an RPSGT credential or has worked in Sleep for a long time that the person knows everything about everything. Some techs have only used one or two montages their entire careers. Experience and education can frequently skip areas of information. Let's be open and exchange information no matter how silly it may seem.
