Carpet in patient rooms?

Ok---I know we aren't in the death-by-static-electricity-shock ancient days of pacemaker, but do your labs lean one way or the other as far as carpeting on the floors are concerned? I've had both in my career, there are pluses and minuses to both.
If you have carpet, what kind do you use? Is it that disgusting paper thin (but durable) hospital stuff, or can you use something more modern and plush?
