See Kryger MH, Roth T, Dement WC. Principles and Practices of Sleep Medicine, 3rd ed., 2000.
Chapter 102 gives good insight.

You will need to calibrate two mercury strain gauges to a DC amp as you would the pulse oximeter.
If you're not sure call the manufacturer of your machine to find out how that is done.

Parks Medical Electronics 800-547-6427 makes gauges and has the calibrating cones (Aloha, OR). David Davies also makes these gauges, NY, NY(can't remember his number)

You will need a Polaroid camera for confidential photographs. (Can't stress confidentiality too much).

Do a full sleep study with added DC channels, Tip and Base. Many patients also have other sleep disorders such as OSA, PLM etc. Check the lit. for this.

Patients are not embarrassed by the time they get as far as the sleep laboratory. Just be professional.

If you need more help, e-mail.
