I don't believe that for one second. You have been informed wrong as there's no way a ABSM sleep specialist did a JCAHO site visit. An AASM site visit perhaps? Yes, absolutely but not JCAHO.
Also there's a huge difference between being JCAHO accredited and AASM accredited. JCAHO isn't near as thorough when they come through a sleep lab. We also have both and JCAHO was a joke compared to what we went through to become AASM accredited.
