OJT is such a sore point because most of us in this field are OJT'd. by implying that is wrong youare making us feel like we are not qualified to do our job. Don't get me wrong I think that it is always good to have growth and that is where this field is going. To require every tech to be certified is almost impossible if not impossile at all. To even apply to take your boards you have to have OJT and to require certification for all techs would make it so that no one else could get that OJT. And to supervise one on one for the time it takes to get the OJT is not cost effective. Not only that I am so glad that nursing is not running this area.
