Posted by gaytor on May 26, 2004 at 13:49:10:i am a respiratory therapist of over 25yrs experience but with little exposure to pediatrics. my question is this.. what have you heard about children being put on bipap during daytime hours for "congestion reasons" and having a nebulizer treatment put inline??(all done by home health nurses). this child lives at home and has cerebal palsy. i know ive done it to adult patients in a hospital setting for an emergent situation but usually the patient would end up intubated and on life support. is there any websites i can go to to download info about this if it is true?? thanks for any help
