I have worked in sleep and or Neuro for almost 20 years. I do not have a degree but the years gave ne the exp I needed. I am over a Pulmnary sleep lab and a Neuro department. I had to get out there and hunt for the postion and be able to multi-task. The degree I am sure helps most but the exp and desire will get you farther.
