No I cannot write prescriptions but I can help gather information to help ensure the best course of action for the patient in light of what Medicare will reimburse for.

The physican (a pulmonologist awaiting her results for part 2 of the sleep boards) knows that this patient has a history of cardiac problems. Not an ignorance problem concerning this. Only so much you can do with medications.
Just talked to the Dr. this morning and the patient reported that he felt alert for 2 days post our CPAP trial and wants the equipment.

So, still wondering about qualification questions. This was an interesting study although the tech was premature in setting up the CPAP.

As far as the O2 is concerned it will keep the sats up. Maybe with some patients (evidently though CPAP resolved his EDS)its the desats causing the arousals and maybe they could be helped with O2? Just interested in how and when people treat C Stokes especially trying to develop guidleines for techs during the night shift.
