A high pressure setting makes it very difficult to
keep the mouth closed. If you can't use a lower
pressure setting, there are chin straps made for
holding the mouth closed.

you can also try a full mask that covers nose and
mouth. It has a safety valve that lets you breath
normally if the CPAP shuts off.
