As a military flight crewman, I had a 24 hour
workday with a 2 hour sleep. It worked great and
didn't affect me a bit until the next day when I
slept 12 hours straight making an average of 7
hours of sleep a day.
There was a theory that if you sleep only in short
naps, your total daily sleep will be much less
without building a sleep deficit. John Paul Getty
slept in his office this way when he was the
highest money earner in the world. I never tried
it myself, but I seem to be sleeping that way now
because of my disability. I don't work though, and
my mental speed is really way down.
