The data on UPPP success is problematic. I suggest you read Sher A, Schechtman KB, Piccirillo JF "The Efficacy of Surgical Modifications of the Upper Airway in Adults With Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome" (1996) Sleep 19(2) 156-177. Also read Schectman KB, Sher AE, Piccirillo JF "Methodological and Statistical Problems in Sleep Apnea Research: The Literature on Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (1995) Sleep 18(8) 659-666.
