I too work the "graveyard" shift, though that name is frowned on at the nursing home-cum-rehab hospital where I work. I've been working nights for the last 14 years continuously. When my children were small was the worst. They were in daycare during the day until school age then they were home for school holidays, vacations, etc. I was allways tired. Since I got on the internet about 6 weeks ago I have been having trouble breaking away to sleep so I am tired a lot again, even though one son has a job across the country and the other is a high school senior with his own car and job. I also seem to need more sleep than I used to. One soon learns that sleep is imperative. I keep the same sort of schedule as Nightshift RN. It is easier in winter than summer but I don't want to change
