You can pay up to $200 for special white noise machines. However, I found an old fan works best. You may want to buy a CD or tape of rain or waterfall before buying a machine. The sounds may keep you awake. If you have a CD in you bedroom and tell it to loop it will play all night. I know the Sharper Image sell one for ~$135 but I saw one that does the same thing and looks almost like it for $35 but do not remember where or who makes it. If I remember I will post it later.
