I would call the lab where you had your sleep study done.
If you have a perforated eardrum, or an inner ear problem this is a contraindication on the use of CPAP.
If this is so an ENT should evaluate you and see if it is ok for you to continue with the CPAP therapy.
The ear irritation around the ear is in all likely hood from the straps.
Try putting cotton around the strap by your ear.
Or like new blue jeans, soak the strap in salt water and rise well to soften it up.
