Usually narcolepsy does not get worse with age. Yes, there is not cure yet but there are new medications coming out on the market. If your husbands symptoms seem to be getting worse it could be something other than narcolepsy, or tolerance to his medication. As we grow older our chances of developing apnea increases. Does your husband snore or do you notice any jerking in the night. You should seek help with a sleep specialist who may want to do a sleep recording.
