It has been known for some time that exercise is an important daily activity. One thing you want to avoid is exercise to close to bedtime. It can make it difficult to fall asleep. Other things that can make it hard to fall asleep is caffeine, avoid from the afternoon on, and a heavy meal before going to bed. You do not want to go to sleep hungry, so a light snack if needed is ok but not a big meal close to bedtime.
