Hi Charlene!
Really looks like you're going tho h---.
Sound like some idiot has diagnosed you with
depression. Most sleep disorders are diagnosed
as depression before the patient finally stands
up and hollars, "D--- it, you don't know what
you're doing, and why the h--- am I paying you
good money to make things worse!?!?!"I've been tho the whole game, and am angry and
bitter and very very disenchanted with the
medical profession - as are those members
of the medical profession who are still
practicing medicine, or trying too, instead
of working on their buying their second vacation
home, planning for their retirement, so on and
so on.Right now it probably seems as if the 31st will
never come, and, when it does, so do failing
grades and hostile instructors. Here's just
a suggestion - dump your doctor, if you can,
and find a nurse practitioner and go to her. I'm
very very prejudiced, but I've found that nurse
practitioners are more likely to care about
their patients, listen to them, and then try
to ***do something*** to help them. Also, maybe
she can help you find a sleep specialist who
can make a tenative diagnoses, and treat you
on that diagnosis until it can be confirmed
with a sleep study. I know it's very very hard
to try to go to school, and then have to also
fight for decent medical treatment, but, once you
finally find a decent doctor, and get a diagnosis,
and get on the right treatment, life will be a lot
brighter, you can get on with living, and this
will be just a very bad nightmare in the past. Just
remember, "This too shall pass." Really.
Good luck.
Shelia
