Hi!
Looks like you're being victimized by the old
"let's milk this for all we can" routine. You
don't say what you need the sleep study for, but
I do know that many sleep disorders are wrongly
diagnosed as "depression". When they are,
the anti depression medication does not work. Which,
to anyone except a doctor, would indicate that,
whatever is wrong with the patient, it isn't
depression.Suggest you find a sleep specialist who will
*treat* the probable condition while waiting
for confirmation. He/she/it can write a small
prescription, and at least you'll be that much
further ahead when they do get a firm diagnosis
and then start trying to find a drug routine,
or other treatment, which will work for you.And if your current doctor won't do this, shop
around until you find one who will. If you have
a history and symptoms, no decent doctor is going
to put you tho misery while waiting on a sleep
study.
The good news is that sleep disorders can be
treated, and soon all this will be just a
nightmare in the pasts.
Good luck! Shelia
