Hello.
Sleep Onset Rem Periods could be indicative of Narcolepsy. But, they may also be due to sleep deprivation. A polysomnography (sleep study) is called for, probably with an additional study called an MSLT (Multiple Sleep Latency Test). An MSLT is utilized to aid in the diagnosis of Narcolepsy. Contact a sleep disorders center.
