Posted by G.S.Huffman on October 19, 1997 at 15:10:16:I have had a problem for a long time now. When I get bored I fall asleep. Even when I know I'm in danger. During high school I used to fall asleep in boring classes, even when I knew the teacher would take action (ie. Pour water on me). Now, I am working in the oilfield and I drive truck. I tend to fall asleep at the wheel. Radio, talking, hardly anything does any good to keep me up. I tend to get 6-7 hours sleep a night, but sometimes I get much less. My job hours are very demanding. I have tried to see normal doctors, but have yet to learn anything. Since I dont fall asleep other times and since it seems related to my being inactive and bored I am wondering if its psychological. But, I have seen a therapist and have not learned much at all. Can anyone post any suggestions?
