I don't know why it's so difficult for you to wake up, but how did you select seven hours as the amount of time after which you want to be woken up? If I don't get at least eight hours, I'm in a foggy haze, too. Why don't you try eight or eight and a half hours. Waking up might not be any easier, but I'll bet you don't stay in a foggy haze for as long.
